A smaller group this week, as quite a few people were away, but we welcomed a potential new member, Mike Polly. If he decides to join, it will bring our number to 34 and there will be just one space left before we start a waiting list.
The new ‘In the Street’ subject produced quite a good response. Derek Brown and Barry Fellows kept us entertained with their new Photoshop skills. All images have now been uploaded and can be viewed at http://photography-perranuthnoe.blogspot.com/. Thanks also to Phil for showing his images from a trip to Austria and Germany.
Our new subject is Title of a Song. This should be good fun. Do you take the photos and bring a song title to it or choose the title of a song and go out and take the photo? Chicken and egg I feel! Please email up to two images to me by Sunday 5 June but this time do not send me the titles (unless you know you will not be there) as we will have a little guessing game on the night. All images should be new work e.g. taken since this week’s meeting. Once again, those with an Apple Mac who want to bring their submissions on a stick on the night that’s fine too.
Our next meeting is on Monday 6 June at 7pm in the Church Room. Depending on the weather we are planning to spend the first hour taking photographs on a mini field trip around Perranuthnoe and then meeting back at the room about 8pm to review Title of a Song.
Images from the mini field trip will be the subject of our meeting on 27 June.
I have had a very good response to images for the exhibition but still waiting for a few more. You know who you are! I will arrange to get them all printed by the end of the month. Please ensure Friday 24 June at 7pm is in your diaries. This will be the night of our exhibition preview. Tell all your family and friends too!
As always please feel free to contact me if you have any questions/concerns regarding the group, any suggestions/ideas you may have or if you have any general points regarding photography. I will do my best to find the answers for you.
