Welcome to photography@perranuthnoe

photography@perranuthnoe was established in 2009 following a Perranuthnoe village church room consultation day where a number of people suggested a group be formed for those interested in the upsurge we have had in digital photography.

The first meeting of this group took place on Monday 5 October 2009.

We are a group of like-minded people who meet to discuss anything relating to photography.

We meet every three weeks at 7pm on a Monday evening in Perranuthnoe church room.

During the meetings we discuss techniques and share knowledge and experience. We also set a theme at the end of every meeting so that members can practice their skills and bring their results along to the next meeting.

Please have a look at some of our images on this website and feel free to leave any comments.

We welcome new members. If you would like to find out more about our programme, meeting dates and what we are up to please contact Martin on 01736 710820 or email martin.seawards@btinternet.com

Image of the Year Competition 2010

Well done to everyone who participated in our first Image of the Year competition and particular congratulations to the following:

1st Prize - Masked Emotions by Chas Gooding
2nd Prize - The World and Eye by Debbie Smith
3rd Prize - What's The Hurry by Debbie Smith
Highly Commended - Kate by Chas Gooding
Highly Commended - Tide by Karen Foster
Highly Commended - Worth The Climb by Christine Kimmerling

The above photograph shows (from left to right) Christine Kimmerling, Karen Foster, Billy Graham (Judge) and Chas Gooding. Debbie Smith was busy travelling Australia (collecting new images, hopefully) so is therefore not shown in the photograph. We look forward to presenting her with her certificates on her return.

Special thanks to Rob Braybrooks for producing such a fantastic trophy that we can use for many years to come and to Billy Graham for being our first judge.

Click on the Flikr link on this page to see all images.

Look forward to seeing everyone at our first meeting of the new year on Monday 10 January 2011.

Martin Holland
