Welcome to photography@perranuthnoe

photography@perranuthnoe was established in 2009 following a Perranuthnoe village church room consultation day where a number of people suggested a group be formed for those interested in the upsurge we have had in digital photography.

The first meeting of this group took place on Monday 5 October 2009.

We are a group of like-minded people who meet to discuss anything relating to photography.

We meet every three weeks at 7pm on a Monday evening in Perranuthnoe church room.

During the meetings we discuss techniques and share knowledge and experience. We also set a theme at the end of every meeting so that members can practice their skills and bring their results along to the next meeting.

Please have a look at some of our images on this website and feel free to leave any comments.

We welcome new members. If you would like to find out more about our programme, meeting dates and what we are up to please contact Martin on 01736 710820 or email martin.seawards@btinternet.com

Summer Exhibition - Friday 18 June 2010 7.30pm - Church Room, Perranuthnoe

Monday evening was well attended despite being Bank Holiday. The images from the field trip were varied and imaginative. Those from ‘A Night Out’ were also creative and as usual James Williams gave us a good laugh with his result (see http://www.flickr.com/photos/organize/

Now a few dates for your diary.

On Monday 14 June 2010 at 7.30pm there will a preview to a slide show entitled ‘Discover Cornwall’ in St Piran & St Michael’s Church, Perranuthnoe. The slide show is a collection of over 400 images taken by Chas, James Williams and Martin with ‘live’ commentary from Annie. It will take you on a journey around West Cornwall. You are invited to attend this preview. Entry is by donation.

As you know, Friday 18 June at 7.30pm is our preview to the Summer Exhibition in the Church Room. We are honoured to have local professional photographer David Chapman to open our exhibition. All 45 images look fantastic. Entry to the exhibition will be £4 per person (children free) to include a glass of wine/juice and nibbles. All profits will go to the Church in return for lending us the projector, laptop and screen for the year. The exhibition will be on display until the end of August.
