Welcome to photography@perranuthnoe

photography@perranuthnoe was established in 2009 following a Perranuthnoe village church room consultation day where a number of people suggested a group be formed for those interested in the upsurge we have had in digital photography.

The first meeting of this group took place on Monday 5 October 2009.

We are a group of like-minded people who meet to discuss anything relating to photography.

We meet every three weeks at 7pm on a Monday evening in Perranuthnoe church room.

During the meetings we discuss techniques and share knowledge and experience. We also set a theme at the end of every meeting so that members can practice their skills and bring their results along to the next meeting.

Please have a look at some of our images on this website and feel free to leave any comments.

We welcome new members. If you would like to find out more about our programme, meeting dates and what we are up to please contact Martin on 01736 710820 or email martin.seawards@btinternet.com

21 June 2010

There were some great photos after the Patterns and Textures topic (see link above). If you weren’t at the meeting have a look, at the photos, on the website.

Our exhibition in the Church Room looks fantastic. Thanks to all who helped to make this such a success. At our preview, we raised £171.02 for Church funds. They are most grateful.

Now a few dates for your diary.

On Monday 28 June 2010 at 8pm there will be the first showing of the slide presentation ‘Discover West Cornwall’ in St Piran & St Michael’s Church, Perranuthnoe. The one hour slide show is a collection of over 400 images taken by Chas Gooding, James Williams and Martin Holland with ‘live’ commentary from Annie Henry. It will take you on a journey around West Cornwall. Entry is £3 per person including refreshments. If you didn’t come to the preview please try to come along – it’s a good evening. If you’ve already seen it and liked it please tell others. The show will also be on the following Mondays at 8pm: 5th, 19th, 26th July and 2nd August 2010.

Our next meeting will be on Monday 12 July at 7pm. The project this time will be Architecture. Once again, this is a great title for a project and should produce some traditional and perhaps some very creative work from you all.

Every Thursday, between 2.30pm and 4.30pm, from now until the end of August Summer Cream Teas are being served at the Church Room for £3.50 each. Our Club has been asked to host the teas on Thursday 22 July 2010.
